​YZ Kids first opened its doors in March 2017 and a lot has happened since then! Take a look around our site to see what we're all about.

YZ stands for "Young" and "Zany". Zany means to be silly, bizarre, quirky, or unconventional. That might sound like a strange thing to call our school, but we want a place where we can embrace individuality, where kids are seen for who they are, and not an idealized vision of what children should be. Our concept is to let kids be kids. We wanted to create an environment where kids can learn to be confident and independent, where they have a place to run and play to get their energy out. We believe kids learn better through play and hands-on activities. We just happen to do it in English!

 

​Work hard and play hard has never applied to a school as much as ours. We do our share of book work and studying, but we make sure the kids are engaged and having fun first. We believe that kids who are having a good time will naturally want to communicate with those around them, making learning English easy and stress free!

In 2020, we moved to our new location in Haenggu-dong to be able to keep going with our concept. Having space to go out and play freely, learn about nature, experience the responsibilities of gardening, and most importantly, get some fresh air every day has been a dream come true.
